b.delight'd by b.tempt'd Strapless - A Review

Review of b.delight'd by b.tempt'd Strapless Bra

This bra review may as well be Part 3 of my neverending quest to find a good strapless bra. The Freya Deco Strapless in 28E is not the best so I went for the Cleo Neve Strapless in 30D. Now, the Neve Strapless was better than the Deco Strapless as it was slightly less broad and shallow. However, I found that the wires on it were still too broad for me. Hence, I decided to try the b.delight'd by b.tempt'd Strapless in 30D and see how it goes.

Band Size: True to size for a b.tempt'd bra. It's a 30 band bra that stretches out to 30.5" which is really good for b.tempt'd. Most other b.tempt'd bras that I have owned in the past were 30 band bras that would stretch out to 31"-34". This band is great if you are a true 30 band.

Cup Size: This bra's cups run true to size.

Cup Shape: Good and awful at the same time. It is better than the Neve Strapless because the wires are less broad. It is worse than the Neve Strapless because it cuts into my flesh at the tops of the cups. This bras is NOT for people who are FOT or have tall roots.

Cup Spacing and Centre Gore: Good. This bra has good cup separation for my far-apart spaced breasts.

Verdict: Despite this being a 88% good fit for me, I still dislike it because it cuts into my flesh (I have tall roots). Go for this bra if you are shallow, medium rooted, FOB, and short rooted. Now that I know to avoid b.tempt'd strapless bras, I look forward to seeing the Cleo Koko Icon, which is a strapless bra that will be released later this spring. Hopefully, its wires are slightly less narrow than the Cleo Neve Strapless.

Lingerie Store Seeks Real Women for its Advertisements!

A Charlottesville VA boutique is hiring models for its advertisements from its own customer base. Derriere de Soie, an independently owned lingerie store, wants to models that are more representative of the female population at large. They carry a good size selection of bras. Some of the brands they carry include Claudette and Fortnight.

I fully applaud their decision. Currently most fashion models are tall, thin, young, able-bodied and European or European-American. We need more models who are of medium height, shorter height, middle aged, older aged, medium build, curvier, pear shaped, apple shaped, hourglass shaped, ruler shaped, plus sized, petite and Women of Color. It would be nice to see disabled and transgendered models too. To apply, click here.

Heidi Klum has a new lingerie line! sizes 30-38, D-G

A few months ago I had blogged about the arrival of Britney Spears' underwear line and its inclusion of 30 bands and cups up to an EU J cup (UK GG cup). Now, Heidi Klum is also stepping into the lingerie game with her collection. It includes band sizes 30-38, cup sizes D-G (UK sizing!). Cup sizes B-C are available in 32-38 bands and A cups are available in 32-36 bands. You can find it at Nordstroms, Bloomingdales, and also here at figleaves. It seems that many popular styles are already sold out or low in stock in certain sizes, so be sure to get yours fast.

I did some snooping around and found this pretty number. I just wish that they would carry more cup sizes. Heidi Klum only includes cup sizes D-G in all band sizes but I wish they could be C-GG like Britney Spears the intimate.

Booty Pop Panties - A Review

Review of Booty Pop Panties in XS

A common problem with being thin is that one has very little in the curves department. Investing in a push-up bra and padded panties has been key for me to get the hourglass figure look. Booty Pop has been around for a few years but I had to wait several months to be able to buy their panties in XS. As far as I know, they are the only company on the market that makes 100% cotton XS padded panties.

Size and fit: This brand runs slightly big. Their size chart indicates that their XS panties are made to fit 34"-36" hips. My hip measurement is 33" and I just barely fit into them. That being said, I am happy to fit into them at all.

Appearance: I bought both colors that were available in my size, so Creme Caramel and Black Licorice. They are both good colors and the panties look good.

Comfort: These panties are incredibly soft and comfortable. They are also made of cotton, which is what I prefer. I almost exclusively wear cotton panties because the material is soft and breathable.

Do they work? Yes. I put them on under a dress and the results are obvious. In fact, this is the maximum amount of padding I would have wanted on a pair of padded panties. Booty Pop did a good job of providing as much padding as they thought I would need without going overboard. When I measured myself with and without the Booty Pop panties, I saw that they had added 1" to my hip measurement. That is, I went from 33" to 34" with the Booty Pop panties.

Verdict: These are 88% good panties. Go for these panties if you have a very flat butt and want to create some curves. They are good for getting the WOW! look, without overdoing it. Booty Pop also makes some panties that have half the amount of padding, which is good because although I would wear Booty Pop on nights out and special events, I'd prefer a style with somewhat less padding for everyday wear. Although the panties with less padding are nylon, I hope that they have at least a cotton gusset.

Cleo Neve Strapless in 28DD, 30D, and 30DD - A Review

Review of Cleo Neve Strapless Bra in 28DD, 30D, and 30DD

I have been on a never-ending quest to find the perfect strapless bra. Although I have found the Freya Deco Strapless to be wearable, it was too shallow in 28DD (but the wires were right) and the wires were too wide in 28E (but it had the right amount of projection). After hearing good things about the Cleo Neve Strapless, I decided to try it out in 28DD (my normal size), 30D (because some people told me the band ran small) and 30DD (because some people told me the band and the cups ran small).

Band Size: Very firm. The 28 band bras stretch out to only 27" and the 30 band bras stretch out t only 29". This is a great bra if you are in between band sizes. If you have a 27" or smaller underbust, go for the 28 band. If you have a 29" underbust, go for the 30 band. If you have an even number underbust, go up one size in the band. I should be wearing 28 band bras but this bra's band was so tight I could not even put on the 28DD bra. The 30D wins in this department.

Cup Size: Contrary to the advice given to me by others, the bra's cups run true to size. The 30D's cups fit like 30D cups and the 30DD's cups fit like 30DD cups. Again, the 30D wins here because the 30DD's cups were too big for me.

Cup Shape: This bra is shallow and has extremely broad wires. I wish the wires were slightly more narrow. That being said, it is very open on top and is good for people who are FOT or have tall roots. Many strapless bras (and bras in general) cut into my flesh at the top of the cups but this one does not.

Cup Spacing and Centre Gore: Good. The gore is low as it is a plunge bra. It has good cup separation for my far-apart spaced breasts

Verdict: This is 92% a good bra and gets my highest rating for a strapless bra. Go for this bra if you have very broad roots, and are shallow. It should get extra points if you are FOT and/or have tall roots. Hopefully, I can figure out how to make the wires narrower or get a bra that is similar to this one but has slightly narrower wires.

I did not have any photos of the bra in 28DD as I could not even put it on. That just goes to show how tight the band is.
